A thrilling Four Corner Survival Match got the show in Las Vegas off to a hot start, as Donovan Dijak emerged victorious over Lio Rush, Jay White and Kamaitachi. With the win, Dijak earned a shot at the ROH World Television Title.

Rush got on a roll and appeared to be on his way to victory, but Dijak -- who earlier in the match was dropped on his head outside the ring by a Rush hurricanrana -- nailed Rush with the Discus Boot and finished him off with Feast Your Eyes.

THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE DEFENDED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ROH

Here's the latest match signed for August 27th:

IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
“UNBREAKABLE” MICHAEL ELGIN VS. DONOVAN DIJAK

Donovan Dijak has been destined for greatness in ROH from the moment he debuted the 2015 TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT. Unforgettably impressive, with high-flying agility shocking for man of his size, Dijak won the tournament and a Ring of Honor contract! But rather than go it alone, Dijak recruited Truth Martini to manage his career. While Dijak continued to impress, there was visibly growing frustration that Martini was wholly focused on Jay Lethal and not his new client.

Once he violently removed himself from the House of Truth, Dijak was subject to much speculation over his next move. But questions became answers when Prince Nana stepped in to guide the 2015 Top Prospect. Nana himself claims to be the greatest manager in the history of ROH, and there's no denying that Donovan Dijak has become more focused and more dangerous since enlisting his services. Is Prince Nana the key to Dijak's rise to the top?

Now on August 27th at FIELD OF HONOR, Dijak has the opportunity of a lifetime when he takes on international superstar Michael Elgin!  Elgin is a former ROH World Champion who has recently been carving out a legacy for himself in Japan. Not only did he win the first ever ladder match in NJPW history, he became IWGP Intercontinental Champion!

But the stakes in this match have just been raised even higher.  After extensive negotiations between ROH Head Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness and NJPW officials, it has been decided that the IWGP Intercontinental Championship WILL be on the line at FIELD OF HONOR!  Elgin defeated Kenny Omega in an historic ladder match to win the title, and he's sworn to be a fighting champion.  Elgin and Dijak are both former clients of Truth Martini, but many have pegged Dijak as a future champion himself.  A win over Michael Elgin - and claiming the IWGP Intercontinental Championship - would be the biggest victory in Donovan Dijak's career and elevate his stock not just in ROH but all over the world!

This is sure to be an all-out war and you don't want to miss your chance to see it live. To get your tickets for FIELD OF HONOR on August 27th, click HERE!

4 CORNER SURVIVAL TO DETERMINE # CONTENDER FOR WORLD TV TITLE SIGNED FOR #DBD

The following match for Death Before Dishonor XIV has just been signed:

FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL NO. 1 CONTENDER’S MATCH FOR SHOT AT ROH TV TITLE
DONOVAN DIJAK vs. LIO RUSH vs. JAY WHITE vs. KAMAITACHI

Four of the hottest young stars in ROH will vie for a shot at the ROH World Television Title when Donovan Dijak, Lio Rush, Jay White and Kamaitachi battle one another in a Four Corner Survival Match.

The victor will go on to face the winner of the ROH World Television Title Match at Death Before Dishonor between champion Bobby Fish and Mark Briscoe.

Dijak (2015) and Rush (2016) are the past two Top Prospect Tournament winners, but that’s where the similarities between them end.

Dijak, at 6-7 and 270 pounds, has laid claim to being the biggest and baddest man in ROH, while the diminutive-but-dynamic Rush has proved that in his case, size doesn’t matter.

White, who came to ROH last month after competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling and training at the NJPW dojo for a year and a half, has made an immediate impact. On a recent episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, White defeated Kamaitachi, and then went on to pin Christopher Daniels in an impromptu six-man tag match in which White and The Motor City Machine Guns beat The Addiction (Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) and Kamaitachi.

Kamaitachi, who has displayed a willingness to achieve victory by any means necessary since coming under the tutelage of The Addiction, unleashed an unprovoked attack on White when the New Zealand native was sitting ringside at the Best in the World Pay Per View a month ago.

All four of these outstanding athletes have bright futures, but only one of them will walk out of this match with an ROH World TV Title shot and an opportunity to show that the future has arrived.
